Shailee and I have both come down with some crazy chesty flu thing that gives you a crazy headache and clogs up all your sinuses. On top of that, it's got really cold during the last week, down to minus 20 celcius at the house, judging by the thermometer downstairs.
At least we're sick at the same time to give each other moral support.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Matt & Shailee.

What's with the Cheese?
What's with the Cheese in Canada?
It's expensive, it's orange, it tastes terrible, and, it's really expensive.
I heard someone say to me that their was some taxes or something to protect the local cheese industry. If that's true, it was obviously made by someone who has never tasted good cheese. He was probably lactose intolerant. Seriously - who would want to protect something that's absolute rubbish!?

White Christmas in Whistler
We had an awesome Christmas here in Whistler. It was puking down snow. We went out on the mountain for a ride, then went to a bar for some beers, then came home, and - as a house (big thanks Rach!) - cooked up a storm on a Christmas dinner, of course with a few more drinks.
Here's a few photos on Facebook for you all to see:

And for those who are curious, our Aussie housemate Courtney (wearing a black jumper and orange hat) was having some coaching lessons in "how to drink beer". She was initially not that interested in partaking, but we convinced her that that was "UnAustralian". Well, she still doesn't love beer, but we got some funny photos and all had a great time.
Merry Christmas!

Welcome to Canada
We arrived in Vancouver safely after a long flight.
Staying in Downtown area of Vancouver was quite nice. Lots of shopping around.
We did discover a great street just outside the downtown area with heaps of snowboard shops, where we found some great deals and got kitted out and ready to head to Whistler.
